Incentivize Engagement: Effective Ways to Encourage Tips and Purchases as an adult creator

This post has been a long time coming, from friends to acquaintances, many people want to know how I increase my earnings and get my subscribers to spoil me. I took the time to outline some of my favorite ways to earn extra money, or how I receive new toys, and lingerie. From getting to know my audience to playing games, these are some of my best tricks to earning more as an adult creator.

Get to know your audience

I honestly feel that I can credit a significant portion of my earnings to the fact that I get to know my subscribers. Like the amazing Melrose Michaels suggests, when someone first subscribes I make a point to get to know them. Ask their name, or what they prefer to be called, what sort of things they’re into or enjoy. I then add these to their notes section and update their username. This saves me effort later on, if I create a fetish video I know which subscribers will enjoy it most, and can cater to my audience more effectively. These notes and updates also increase my earnings, because it allows me to potentially reuse custom content. I think we’ve all had a subscriber ask for a custom using their name, if you’re updating your buyers’ profiles, you can then search whatever name it may be and offer it to those with the same name, at a discounted price. A potential message could be “Hi Josh, I recorded this video with your name and thought you might enjoy it, tip me $____ to purchase.”

Another important piece of getting to know your audience and increasing earnings is to constantly be inquiring about feedback. I like to include a poll on my weekly full length videos asking for more, or less content like this. It gives me an idea of what my audience is enjoying and not enjoying allowing me to cater to them easier. This method is also great for when you need fresh content ideas but just can’t come up with any. Create a poll with no more than 3 options on content and ask your subscribers want they want to see. It takes the guess work out of things, keeps them satisfied, they feel appreciate and you save yourself time and energy!

Incentivize everything

My absolute best way to encourage my subscribers to tip is to allow them to control when a video is released. One day a week I post a teaser of my next full length video being released, and create a tip goal under the post. I let my subscribers know that if they work together to reach that tip goal, the video will be released early. This works out more times than not, and is a win for both myself and my subscribers.

A second favorite way to earn as a creator, is, when a subscriber purchases a gift off my wish list, they receive a video and/or pictures of me using or wearing the item. This incentivizes them to buy that lingerie or new toy, because they get something in return. This method also encourages your subscribers to tip more, while it isn’t a necessity to reward them for tipping, I do find that it makes them more likely to. Even if someone tips me for chatting, I’ll send a cute selfie showing cleavage or one of my favorite booty pics as a thank you. In my experience it absolutely makes those buyers more likely to tip in the future, because they feel appreciated.

Don’t miss an opportunity

Someone once said “every interaction is an opportunity to earn” and that has stuck with me. It has increased the amount of money I earn as an adult creator because I’m giving away less for free, and encouraging my subscribers to tip more. This practice qualifies for followers as well, though it isn’t money you are exchanging, if you have a follower who you know isn’t likely to purchase, ask them to engage with your social media posts in return for a cheeky photo. Doing so allows followers who may not have the expendable income to get a sneak peek at your content, and you get something in return. Engagement can still be currency. It will also ensure that they see more of your posts, and increase the likelihood of your posts gaining traction and going viral on places like Instagram.

Gamify Where You Can

Creating games or ways to make earning fun is an awesome way to earn more as an adult creator. This first game I play simply encourages engagement, but I love to post a black and white photo of my booty with panties on. I let my subscribers guess what color my panties are, and if they guess correctly I DM them a picture with my panties off. It increases my engagement, and makes creating content more fun!

One of the most popular ways to gamify your content is a spin the wheel game. Admittedly I haven’t tried this but I have quite a few friends who do it and have made bank! What it entails is offering 2-4 rewards for your subscribers, and price each spin at your choosing. Allow your subscribers to spin the wheel and earn extra content, while you’re increasing your earnings.

Let Your Subscribers Help You Grow

Setting goals as a creator, is what helps us grow and achieve our dreams. If I’m close to my goal for the month, or a huge milestone as a creator, I will create a tip goal and let my subscribers know. As earlier discussed, I do reward tips but most of the time, they just want to see us win as well. This never fails to help me hit my goal for the month, which is a huge mood boost! Let your subscribers in, and you’ll be surprised by how generous they can be.
